Recently, I attempted to read the Japanese Bible.
Well, there's no better way than to 1) Read the Word & 2)Practise Japanese
simultaneously!

It's pretty interesting to read the Japanese and English versions of the bible
to and fro:)
Amazingly, I realise that the Japanese Bible (at least the portion that I read)
is slightly more elaborate than the English version in some ways.

Personally, I find that, for this portion of scripture (Hebrews 10:12-18),
there are little interesting stuff that confirms what I believe about the
Heart of God and clears any doubts on Pastor Prince's messages about the Person of Jesus.

Ok, I hope that my Japanese reading & interpretation is right;D
If anyone who happens to read this, knows Japanese,please verify!

Hebrews 10:12
But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God(NKJV)


しかしキリスト様は、いつまで有効な、ただ一つのいけにえとして、わたしたちの罪のために、
自分を神様にささげてくださり、そのあと、最も名誉ある神様の右の座に
ついて、

->Translation:
But Christ, after He had offered Himself to God as a Single,Eternal and Effective Sacrifice for our sins,sat down on the Right Hand of the Exceedingly Glorified God.

I like how it emphasizes that Jesus' death is the ONLY ONE EFFECTIVE (confirm plus
guarantee chop) Sacrifice for ETERNITY. And God is Exceedingly (if not, even more!) Glorified by Jesus'Finished and Perfect Work.


Hebrews 10:13

from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.(NKJV)

敵が足の下に踏みつけられる、その日をまっておられます。

->Translation:
Waiting for the day where His enemies are trampled under His Feet/made His footstool.



Hebrews 10:14

For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.(NKJV)


キリスト様は、この一度かぎりの行動によって、ご自分がきよめる人々
をみな、永遠に、神様の目からも完全なものとしてくださったのです。


->Translation:
Christ by this one act, has made those whom He has Cleansed, Perfect in God's eyes.

Hallelujah!
Sometimes, if we don't know better, we think that we should be Perfect (in
behaviours & thoughts even.) But, that's impossible! It's not an excuse for wrong doings but that even when we fail, we do not have to be disheartened, because we are Forgiven people with 2nd chances. The English version says Jesus has Perfected us Forever but the Japanese version adds on that He has Perfected us forever IN GOD'S EYES.
"I am not Perfect, just Forgiven."


Hebrews 10:15

But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,(NKJV)

聖霊様も同じ証言をなさいます。

->Translation:
The Holy Spirit also Testifies the same.



Hebrews 10:16

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," (NKJV)



「イスラエルの人たちは最初の契約を破りましたが、私が新たに彼ら
と結ぼうとしている契約は、これです。
わたしは、常にわたしの意志を知らせるために、おきてを彼らの心に
書き記します。
そして、おきてを彼らの思いの中に据えるので、彼らは喜んでこれに
従うようになります。」

->Translation:
"The People/children of Israel broke the 1st covenant; However, this is the New Covenant which I will establish with them.
I will Write my Laws on their Hearts so that they will know My Will At all Times. Also, because My laws are laid/placed on their minds, they will Delightfully follow/be guided by them."

Woohoo! I really Like this!
It leaves no doubt that the Holy Spirit is talking about God making all things New because no one could keep the law/10 commandments.

The Message version is also very cool:

"This new plan I'm making with Israel
isn't going to be written on paper,
isn't going to be chiseled in stone;
This time "I'm writing out the plan in them, carving it on the lining of their hearts."
(Message bible)

But what I found most interesting and comforting in the Japanese version were the next 2 lines:

*"I will Write My Laws on their Hearts so that they will know My Will At all Times." (Jap)

-> Many times,we want to know "what to do","how exactly to act", and that's perhaps why we would rather follow laid out rules than to hear from God on that specific situation in our lives.But, every situation is unique and we can't apply fixed inflexible solutions to them. Yet, God said that He will write His Laws on our Heart SO THAT WE WILL KNOW HIS WILL AT ALL TIMES! At all Times leh!
"What is Your Will for me in this situation?" When I ask, Daddy answers.
And most often, it's always an inward knowing.

-> Wow. I've read a few versions on this verse. So far, this is the only version I read
that says when DaddyGod places His laws on our hearts & minds, we will follow them
CHEERFULLY & DELIGHTFULLY. Somehow, this doesn't sound like the hard-to-do kind of
rules. It sounds like just a Gentle Whisper of what to do, along with a portion of Grace that makes it EASY & JOYFUL to follow!


Hebrews 10:17

then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”(NKJV)

さらに、聖霊様は、こうも言われます。
「わたしは、二度と彼らの罪と不法行為を思い出しません。」

->Translation:
Further, the Holy Spirit also says this,
"I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds."



Hebrews 10:18

Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.(NKJV)

このように、罪が永久に赦され、また、忘れ去られてしまうなら、罪を取り除く
ためのいけにえをこれ以上ささげる必要はありません。

->Translation:
In this way, there is a remission of sins Forever and since it is Totally Forgotten there is no longer a need for sin offering from henceforth.

Yeay!It is Totally Forgotten Forever!

Together it says:
